This Quarry is home to a variety of minerals such as Calcite, Galena, Sphalerite, Marcasite, and Dolomite. Located in Southern Ontario, this locality has particularly large Calcite formations which is unusual for the surrounding area!



• This Calcite specimen glows a bright white and has purple tips. The boundary zone near the tips suggest this Calcite grew in multiple stages with fluids from different chemistry.



• The tips are highly concentrated with Manganese impurities leading to a bright alternative glow from the base of the crystal.
